What's Cool for Fall Fashions 2016

Tuesday, October 4, 2016

I recently received a new magazine issue of C Magazine, which displays the latest fashion news as well as home decor and other items for fall 2016. I also noticed that OC isn't doing their usual OC Style Week events at the mall for this year's fashion week celebration. In the past, I have attended many fashion shows and fashion cocktail parties at Fashion Island, South Coast Plaza, and Irvine Spectrum.

Anyway, when I received my September 2016 issue for C Magazine, I noticed it is their thickest issues, just like any other fashion magazines, such as Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, or Elle. I also noticed that IMVU virtual reality site is celebrating NYC and Paris September Fashion Week events, where IMVU designers are displaying and promoting their creative IMVU designs. My avatar has received a fashion house, a luxurious runway ramp with seating on the sides, and a fashionable outfit. The fashion outfit includes a long coat, leggings or slim-fit pants, white blouse, and a striped cowl. Since this outfit is in black, gold, and white, I added older items that I already have, such as black and gold designer purse, gold platform shoes that someone on IMVU gave me, black and gold watch, her iPhone, and her hounds tooth newsboy cap.

But I decided I will recap some fall fashions 2016 fashion week ideas from the C Magazine. There seems to be a lot of black and gold outfits and accessories this season. Bobs are still popular, which reminds me that I need to cut my hair soon, right before I want to henna my hair. Metallics and Bohemian outfits are also popular. Velvet is now popular for fall, as well as puffy sleeves, asymmetrical hems, bow ties around the neck, tweed suits in print, pleats, ruffles, frills, ski outfits worn as outerwear, colorblock graphic print, linear silhouettes for minimalism style, and edgy, urban streetwear from the 80s. I also notice lots of boots, especially high, over-the-knee boots that lace up. I also noticed the nautical style. Basically, the magazine is promoting a variety of styles because the fashion industry just wants people to shop.

I added some snapshot of my IMVU avatar modeling her new Fashion Week 2016 outfit, combined with old items she already had from previous years. I changed her hat from the hounds tooth cap to the burberry plaid cap. I also added a snapshot of my Yoworld avatar modeling her bohemian outfit with her pet dog, coffee cup, and Monarch Butterfly.

I noticed six different styles that got my attention. And, I will now recap them for anyone interested.

1st Style is about Urban Art:  I check out the September 2016 C Magazine for September Fashion Week. Start your day by using a good facial cleanser, especially before applying your makeup. Then, consider a matte lipstick in magenta. Buy interesting paintings for you home décor, and if you are an artist, then decorate your home with your own paintings. Enjoy raw vegan and vegan food with a glass of wine. Consider Bellini, which is red wine with peach flavor. You might want to play songs by indie-rock bands in the background. A basic autumn 2016 outfit might include hoop earrings, loafers, long coat, small messenger-like purse and matching shoes. But choose colors in green, magenta, blue and black. Consider a yellow-orange purse with short handle. It looks vintage, but with a modern shape or design. Favorite hangouts might include art galleries. This coastal style is relaxed and laidback, and it is all about hanging out at the beach or by the pool, with a blanket and pillow.

2nd Style is about Coastal Glamping. Get a silver trailer, and decorate it with walk-in shower, queen-size bed, and well-equipped kitchen. Park your trailer at parks with fire pits and decks, where you can enjoy your five-star meals under the stars, along with wine or champagne. There are also canoe rides and tent lounges for glamping campers. The basic style involves turtleneck, denim pants, and pumps with ribbon ties. Also, consider denim pants, print shirt, and long cardigan sweater with sneakers and long dangling earrings. Or, maybe you might prefer a short print dress with sandals. Perfume, sweater with denim pants or crewneck blouse with long sleeves is worn under tank dress.
Moreover, autumn fashions are mostly in warm-toned colors, and the four major styles include Boho Chic, Ornate, Classic, and Rocker. Boho Chic outfit might include sandals with stacked heel and lace-up ties, round-frame sunglasses, fedora hat, colorblock small purse. Ornate accessories might include a clutch with decorative and colorful gems, cuff with decorative gem design, loafers with gem design, and a small purse with some decorative gems. Classic accessories might include a small burgundy purse with short handle and quilted design, pumps with ankle strap, round-faced and chain-band watch, and large burgundy purse with short handle. The Rocker accessories a modern clutch with spike décor, angular-framed sunglasses, large tote-like purse with silver décor, and silver loafers. The Rocker’s outfit is mostly in black and silver.

Fall 2016 runways shows displayed the velvet texture from the vintage 70s, the Club Kids styles from the 80s, and modern and minimalism styles from the 90s era. Outfits had graphics in angular shapes and bold colors, linear silhouettes, 80s funky and urban street clothes in metallic and animal print, classic tweeds with plaid, hounds tooth, and checkered, ballerina-inspired outfits are in beige shades are soft and flowing. They might include pleats and frills. Ski outfits are worn as edgy streetwear. Bows are tied around the neck, at the collar. Colorful velvet clothes look soft and comfy. Accessories are also velvet, where shoes and purses are in a variety of colors. I think these velvet accessories look very BOHO CHIC.

Rocker accessories are funky as usual, in a variety of metallic colors, but the most popular color is silver. There are lots of shine, as well as the designs include geometric shapes of stars, hearts, lightning bolts, spikes, studs, an outer space theme, and fringe and tassels. Animal print and patent might also be popular. Consider a short skirt with zipper front, cropped sweater, long coat, and booties.

Vintage fashions in San Francisco include Boho Chic outfits in bold colors, lots of texture, and colorful prints. Velvet accessories, hoop earrings, gemstone necklace, print scarf, oval-shaped sunglasses, below the knee dress with ruffles on the chest section, double ankle strap high-heel shoes, purse with patchwork designs, ankle boots with print design, and envelope clutch with print design. Wide belts cinch the waist over coats or dresses. And, don't forget to add your floppy hats from last spring because hats are always popular for autumn and winter seasons.
